Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse the provided instructions and devise a plan for personal project assignments.
  • Produce output using a chosen design software.
  • Collaborate with the mentor and assist junior staff members.
  • Identify essential project information, conduct suitable research, and gather resources.
  • Coordinate with external design parties and offer suitable professional responses to technical and design queries.
  • Contribute to the development of lists, schedules, and initial specifications.
  • Identify and propose design approaches to adhere to building codes, regulations, and other regional regulatory requirements.
  • Seek, receive, organise, and relay project design information efficiently and effectively.
  • Work consistently and at a consistent pace from concept development to final delivery.
  • Assist in creating an itemised list of design stage deliverables.
  • Review and contribute to the planning of design work on the package in accordance with the project timeline.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in luxury design, specifically in delivering mixed-use projects worldwide.
  • Excellent ability to visually convey stories, establish strong connections, and adapt style to various levels.
  • Expertise in Rhino and AutoCAD at an advanced level is required (preferably with expertise in visualisation and FF&E delivery). Knowledge of REVIT is also desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of materials and finishes, and the capability to confidently oversee projects from conception to completion.
  • Collaborate effectively with other disciplines such assignage, installation, and branding.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred but notessential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take charge as the lead designer, overseeing and managing extensive hospitality and leisure projects from the initial concept phase to final completion both in the UK and internationally.
  • Develop and present comprehensive design proposals for project pitches.
  • Produce exceptional mood boards and 2D /3D design presentations, ensuring that the design aligns with the client's requirements and adheres to the project budget.
  • Lead site meetings and internal meetings, engaging with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Prepare detailed working drawings and technical packs, including AutoCAD plans, elevations, and joinery details, as well as specifications for finishes and furniture, with assistance from the project team.
  • Provide direction and make edits to the CAD and 3D sketch models created by the team.
  • Manage the ordering and organization of samples for projects, while also creating distinct finish boards.
  • Supervise and mentor Junior and Mid-weight Designers within the team.
  • Contribute to the growth and advancement of the hospitality interiors team within the organisation.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team and report directly to the Creative Director.

    

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Degree qualified Interior Design or Interior Architecture with a minimum of 6 years of experience in leading and managing high-end F&B/Hospitality projects in the UK.
  • Extensive portfolio displaying highly creative and technically proficient hospitality designs.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in construction, fabrication, and on-site execution, particularly within the F&B sector.
  • Strong AutoCAD skills and excellent proficiency in software tools such as Photoshop, InDesign, PowerPoint, and SketchUp.
  • A deep understanding of FF&E sourcing and negotiation, ensuring the best possible price, terms, and value for clients.
  • In-depth comprehension of project timelines and maintaining up-to-date information for all parties involved.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Exceptional conceptual abilities and proficiency in freehand drawing.
  • A record of developing distinctive concepts for bars, restaurants, and leisure establishments.
  • Highly organised and focused, capable of effectively managing both their own workload and the workload of the design team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project processes, ranging from concept development to on-site implementation.
