About the Role:
As a Mid-Weight Designer, you'll dive deep into all levels of the design process, taking ownership and responsibility for your projects. You'll collaborate with the design team, client representatives, and project consultants, making excellent communication skills essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Creative Management: Lead and manage the creative aspects of projects
- Design Project Management: Oversee project timelines and deliverables.
- Design Documentation: Create detailed design documents.
- Human Resources: Collaborate with team members and mentor junior designers.
- Studio Administration: Assist with the smooth operation of the studio
What They're Looking For:
Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of UK building regulations.
- Strong grasp of construction technology, materials, joinery, detailing, and furniture.
- Awareness of current style trends and industry standards.
- Proficiency in 3D spatial awareness, feasibility, and commercial viability of designs.
- Some on-site experience and knowledge of CAD standards and Health & Safety procedures.
Experience:
- 3-6 years in hospitality or residential design.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale residential, hotel, or restaurant projects.
Technical Skills:
- AutoCAD
- Photoshop
- InDesign
- Microsoft Office
- SketchUp
- Strong free-hand sketching abilities
