The Role
Our client is one of London’s leading investor-focused furnishing companies, providing design-led furniture solutions for property developers, landlords, and build-to-rent schemes. They are looking for a Senior Interior Designer with experience in a fast-paced, high-turnover interior design for property developers, show homes, and furnishing packages. This is a hands-on, efficiency-focused role, requiring someone who can work quickly, handle multiple projects, and translate sales briefs into market-ready interiors.
You will work closely with the Sales Director and oversee design projects from start to finish, selecting furniture from in-house collections to create tailored packages for residential apartments and communal areas. You will also guide and oversee a junior designer, ensuring high-quality execution across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage furniture and interior schemes for show homes, apartments, and communal spaces.
- Take briefs from the sales team and translate them into fully furnished interior designs.
- Select FF&E from in-house specifications to create cohesive, market-ready interiors.
- Work on multiple projects with tight deadlines, ensuring efficiency and high-quality execution.
- Oversee and guide a junior designer, providing leadership within a small team.
- Conduct site visits and installations, ensuring seamless project delivery.
Ideal Candidate
- Ideally 5+years’ experience in show home design, FF&E, property development, or furnishing packages.
- Background in fast-paced, high-turnover interior design - not suited for high-end conceptual designers.
- Strong understanding of FF&E, property staging, and developer-led design.
- Confident managing projects, liaising with clients, and overseeing junior team members.
- Proficiency in Photoshop and PowerPoint (InDesign knowledge is a plus).
- Must have a car due to the office location and the need for frequent site visits.
Benefits
- Healthcare & pension (after 3-month probation).
- Employee discount on furniture.
- 20 days holiday+ bank holidays.
Why Join?
- Work closely with developers and investors on high-profile residential projects.
- Be part of a growing team, shaping and expanding the design function.
- Competitive salary + car allowance for travel.
