Project Architect

This leading design practice works across architecture, urban design and landscape and boasts an impressive portfolio of housing, education, arts, commercial and health projects. They employ over 120 design professionals and include many specialists in sustainability, research, visualisation and BIM.

Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Project Architect with Education projects experience to join their team in Manchester.

‍

You should ideally have a minimum of four years’ post-Part 2 experience, with a track record of running UK based projects at all stages, preferably with education experience and familiarity with working on existing buildings. Revit proficiency is desirable, and excellent presentation skills are essential.

Project responsibilities

• Work independently on feasibility studies
• Establish and document project requirements clearly
• Manage a small project team, assigning and prioritising tasks and maintaining required quality
• Contribute to project design and technical reviews
• Assist with financial management and resourcing of projects
• Assist with bids, competitions and interviews for new work
• Produce design and technical drawings
• Produce presentation material, reports and models

Skills

• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
• Good design eye and drawing skills
• Ability to communicate ideas both verbally and visually
• Knowledge of UK legislation, planning,construction and health and safety
• Knowledge of Revit
• Knowledge of Adobe packages.
