This long-term established Architecture firm is looking for Senior Architect with Residential, Housing project experience.
The practice has won numerous awards and has a reputation for providing a comprehensive approach to designing buildings with the end user in mind.
As Senior Architect, you will lead on the design and delivery of projects of varied sizes – medium to large scale. The Senior Architects at this practice work independently on feasibility studies and contribute to project design and technical reviews.
Relevant Experience:
- Emphasise your experience in residential and housing projects, highlighting specific examples of successful projects you have led or been heavily involved in.
- Show any awards or recognition you may have received for your work in the field.
Comprehensive Approach:
- Highlight your understanding and commitment to a comprehensive approach to design, particularly one that prioritises the end user's needs and experiences.
Project Leadership:
- Highlight your ability to lead and manage projects of varied sizes, demonstrating your experience in handling both medium and large-scale projects.
- Mention your capacity to work independently on feasibility studies, as well as your contributions to project design and technical reviews.
Architectural Skills:
- Outline your skills in architectural design, detailing, and technical aspects. Provide examples of how you have applied these skills in previous projects. Revit software proficiency is important
Resume and Portfolio:
- Ensure your resume and portfolio are up to date, with a focus on projects that demonstrate your expertise in residential and housing architecture.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead on the design and delivery of projects of any size and/or take a senior role within a large team
- Establish and document project requirements clearly
- Work independently on feasibility studies
- Contribute to project design and technical reviews
- Assist with financial management and resourcing of projects
- Assist with bids, competitions, and interviews for new work
- Maintain good relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Co-ordinate design work as necessary with other consultants
- Produce design and technical drawings (Revit proficiency required)
- Produce presentation material and reports
- Be responsible for compliance with practice processes on projects, including the Project Quality Plans
- Maintain project primer as appropriate
To be good at this role you need to be able to:
- Prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Clever design eye and drawing skills
- Ability to communicate ideas both verbally and visually
- Knowledge of UK legislation, planning, construction, health, and safety
- Knowledge of Revit
- Knowledge of Adobe packages.
- RIBA Part III or equivalent overseas qualification
