What is your role:

As a Senior Architect, your responsibilities will include architectural design, coordinating Design Teams, contract administration, and driving Business Development. You will specialise in applying building science and technology to architectural, interior, and construction projects, showcasing your expertise in managing the design process and providing innovative and visually appealing solutions

As a fully qualified Architect, your dedication to expanding knowledge in design, building science, and technology is paramount. A key focus of your role is project delivery, where you will take an active role in mentoring and leading technical work, showcasing expertise in BIM and Revit. Your proficiency extends to negotiating and managing construction projects and contracts, utilizing diverse methods like traditional, partnering, and design-build approaches. Furthermore, you understand the significance of post-construction aspects, including Soft Landings, ensuring comprehensive project success

What the role includes:

  • Ensure that projects meet all relevant technical and professional standards on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Manage the delivery of architectural and multi-discipline work to meet and generally exceed clients’ expectations in terms of brief, service innovation, overall quality of work, value for money and delivery to planned timescales.
  • Plan & manage architectural and multi-discipline resources on projects and proactively identify & resolve resourcing issues
  • Drive architectural teams to achieve continuous improvement in technical quality and innovation in all work produced
  • Manage individual Client’s workloads
  • Control and monitor work, to ensure clients’ briefs and delivery programmes are achieved
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding associated with RIBA works stages  

Project Delivery
  • Play a leading role in the technical delivery of the work by the architectural team and delegate responsibility for delivery of technical elements to other members of the architectural team.
  • Assessing the needs of clients and users and agreeing the project brief;
  • Developing project briefs and design / delivery programmes;
  • Preparing & presenting design proposal fully coordinated detailed project design and developing the project design
  • Ensuring continual compliance with design, legal, statutory and professional requirements;
  • Providing professional guidance and decision making to clients, users, other designers and construction teams;
Requirements
  • Possess extensive technical knowledge and expertise, with a minimum of 10 years of professional practice following ARB Certification..
  • Maintain a high standard of technical excellence by ensuring that project work consistently meets relevant technical and professional standards.
  • Ensure that projects adhere to technical and design requirements, complying with all applicable technical, health and safety, and environmental standards.
  • Provide valuable input and guidance regarding the technical aspects of work, adopting an appropriate approach to technical outputs. When necessary, you are capable of personally delivering technical work to exemplify this expertise.
  • Thoroughly understand and confirm clients' briefs before accepting them, ensuring all aspects are fully understood and agreed upon.
  • Actively and prominently contribute to the delivery of technical work, actively promoting and displaying technical competency in AUTOCAD, Revit, and BIM.
  • Ensure that all work is delivered in a timely manner, managing end-to-end processes and continually seeking improvement.
