About the Role:
Our client, a renowned architectural practice in Slough, is seeking an experienced Architectural Design Lead. This pivotal role involves providing innovative architectural design services and solutions, with a focus on the science of architecture, building design, and construction. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between conceptual design and completed construction, ensuring functional and attractive buildings that perform successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage a team through various work stages, overseeing multiple projects on-site with responsibility for day-to-day management.
- Client Liaison: Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring effective communication and project delivery within agreed timelines.
- Resource Allocation: Assist in allocating resources within the team to meet project demands.
- Recruitment and Training: Participate in the recruitment of new team members and train junior staff on the design aspects of construction projects, addressing performance and functional issues from the outset.
- Quality Control: Ensure the use of appropriate materials, compliance with current regulations, and monitor quality, costs, and deadlines throughout the project.
- Software Implementation: Support the business in rolling out new software and contribute to the BIM Strategy Plan.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in architectural design and construction.
- Strong understanding of the science of architecture and building design.
- Excellent project management and team leadership skills.
- Proficient in relevant architectural software and BIM.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
