What is your role:
- Manage internal deadlines and uphold design standards throughout the organisation.
- Create visualizations and articulate concepts effectively to team members and stakeholders.
- Develop intricate designs and make material selections in alignment with project requirements.
- Deliver designs that possess a compelling narrative linked to brand ideals.
- Utilize both 2D and 3D mediums to communicate design intent clearly.
- Prepare comprehensive visual packages for visual artists.
- Demonstrate leadership and initiative in project management, including oversight of schedules and timelines.
- Proactively manage deadlines and exceed client expectations.
- Lead and brief the design team on live projects, ensuring control and sign-off of project time logs and attendance.
- Provide support to team members, delegate tasks, and maintain adherence to team budgeted hours.
- Foster and expand client relationships, nurturing existing connections to drive repeat and new business.
- Collaborate with sub-contractors and clients on-site, ensuring detailed designs align with project goals.
- Take accountability for project deliverables and secure approval for project outputs.
- Participate in senior management meetings as requested.
- Uphold client satisfaction and profitability standards across all involved projects.
What makes you good at your job:
As a Senior Interior designer you will have successfully led designs from inception to completion on international high end luxury projects in residential or hospitality, demonstrating your proven skills at delivering exceptional design, with experience of working independently or as part of a team.
- minimum 5 - 7 year's post-qualification with experience leading design-led projects
- excellent design skills demonstrated by a well-presented CV and portfolio of work
- professional degree in interior design RIBA or equivalent qualification
- highly effective in the design and management of high-quality projects of similar scale and complexity
- strong experience in leading project teams effectively and efficiently
- strong technical design skills with experience at all design stages and considerable site experience
- strong design skills in concept development, space planning and FF&E
- excellent knowledge of materials, finishes, custom furniture design fabrication and delivery
- strong graphic communication and presentation skills; InDesign and Photoshop skills essential
- excellent drawing, modelling and visualisation skills; CAD, SketchUp; Rhino, Enscape/Lumion an advantage
- excellent verbal and written communication
- high levels of team spirit with a collaborative and positive approach
