They are a non-hierarchical, collaborative, multi-disciplinary practice with the culture of a young start-up.

Summary of Role:

Ignis Partners are currently working to find an efficient and passionate HR Assistant to support the well-established central London practice.

You will ideally have a background with experience working in built environments such as Architecture, Construction or Interior firms giving you industry understanding.

You are expected to ensure smooth running of the daily operations of HR team and wider team assisting with recruitment and on-boarding of new starters. Part of your role is assisting with payroll processes, arranging meetings and maintaining calendars, using HR databases to review, input and keep track of employee information and attending and supporting internal working groups.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this position would be articulate with a confident demeanor, have a keen eye for detail and be able to build relationships and gain trust quickly. You would also be able to demonstrate a sensible and sensitive approach to confidential matters.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Human Resources or relevant fields
  • CIPD training / qualifications
  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • A creative thinker and problem solver
  • Excellent organisational skills and good multi-tasking ability
  • Having previously worked in the architecture, construction or building industry

Opportunity for a Studio Administrator / PA to join this friendly and exciting Architecture practice in Cambridge.

A small and friendly Architecture Studio is looking for like minded Studio Administrator / PA.  They are offering a varied role and an opportunity to grow within the organisation as you become an integral part of the team.

You will be the first point of contact for clients and guests creating a good impression and setting the tone for the studio.  Supporting the Architecture team on a daily basis, you will also helping prepare bids submissions and update and maintain company policies.

Your role will be as broad as you can imagine, including - but not limited to:
  • Looking after the day to day running of the Cambridge studio - team of 12 
  • Acting as the first point of contact when visitors arrive including looking after Reception area 
  • Limited PA duties to 2 Directors
  • Ad hoc administration assistance to project leads 
  • Being point of contact to contractors and suppliers 
  • HR related tasks such as keeping track of holiday bookings, support the on-boarding of new staff into the studio, booking interviews and job advertising;
  • Getting involved in the fun stuff such as coordinating events for the studio including client visits and lunches, staff events such as summer and Christmas parties;       
  • Arranging meetings, greeting guests and booking and preparing meeting spaces
  • Maintaining and updating company policies and guidance;
  • Maintaining and updating project contacts, calendars, library and filing;
  • Maintaining and updating tender portals;
  • Managing the legal cover documents e.g. insurance, ICO;
  • Assisting with bid submissions; and
  • Assisting with printing and issuing of documents.

This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is always looking at ways to improve current systems and processes.

Competencies, skills and experience:
  • Minimum 2-3 years within the same type of role from Architecture, Interiors or construction sectors (can suit a Part 1 or Part 2 Assistant wanting to take on more administrative position within Architecture)
  • Must have some previous office administration and PA experience  
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills;
  • Fluency in MS Office (Excel, Word);
  • Proficient in InDesign would be advantageous
  • Outgoing, friendly personality and team player with a can do attitude
