About the Role

As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will lead the design process, focusing heavily on the early RIBA stages across a diverse project portfolio. Your expertise will be key in shaping commercial, residential, public realm, and educational projects, collaborating with independent schools and prestigious institutions. Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Independently lead projects and oversee small teams to deliver outstanding landscape designs.

Mentorship: Support and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of growth and continuous learning.

Client Collaboration: Engage closely with clients to understand their vision, present proposals to planning authorities and review panels, and contribute to design reviews.

Technical Expertise: Utilize your knowledge in urban greening, biodiversity net gain, SuDS, public engagement, and co-design to address complex planning challenges.

Design Excellence: Showcase creativity and a thorough understanding of the design process and project delivery across all RIBA stages.

Communication: Develop high-quality reports, presentations, and visual materials to clearly convey design concepts and project updates.

Qualifications and Experience:

• a design-based degree in landscape architecture, architecture, urban design, or related fields
• minimum of five years of professional experience in landscape practice in the UK
• proficiency in Vectorworks is key however Autocad and willingness to learn Vectorworks may be considered depending on experience
• proficiency in relevant design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience presenting to planning officers and at design reviews
• ability to lead and inspire project teams and clients
• curious, motivated, and passionate about design

What is your role:

As an experienced landscape graduate or recently chartered landscape architect, you will play a vital role in a diverse portfolio of projects, spanning various sectors. Showcase your creativity, attention to detail, and contribute to the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and Landscape Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs).

• Prepare landscape design schemes, write reports, and project manage.
• Manage production and deadlines for assigned work individually or as part of a team.
• Undertake site inspections, boundary surveys, site appraisals, and data analysis.
• Prepare Landscape Management Plans, Measured Works, Cost estimates, and other deliverables within RIBA stages 2-5.

• Execute RIBA stages 5-6 work, including site auditing and reporting.
